- Google Play Store compatibility for Windows 11 has been enabled by developer ADeltaX.
- This was accomplished by altering the Windows Subsystem for Android.
- This tutorial will teach you how to get the same effects on your computer.
- However, the procedure is not suitable for beginners, so think carefully before doing it.
The Redmond tech giant has already begun testing the Android subsystem for Windows 11, and a select group of Insiders may already download it through the Amazon AppStore.
Although the availability of Android applications on Windows 11 is heavily reliant on what is released in the Amazon Appstore, APKs may still be sideloaded.
However, it has been shown that the Google Play Store can work on Microsoft’s most recent operating system.
On Windows 11, the Google Play Store may be used.
By modifying the Windows Subsystem for Android, a developer known as ADeltaX was able to provide Google Play Store functionality.
This Play Store hack, which is not for the faint of heart, adds sign-in capability to both Google Play services and the Google Play store.
This solution may open the path for any Android program to be installed on Windows 11 and Google Play services, including based applications.
The above-mentioned script is available on Github, however it is presently not beginner-friendly, so you should avoid it unless you are sure you know what you’re doing.
How can I use Windows 11 to access the Google Play Store?
Please read the % paragraph one again before you begin. To begin, you must first download the Windows Subsystem for Android.
After that, you’ll need to download Ubuntu from the Microsoft Store and install Windows Subsystem for Linux.
Now, on the Ubuntu terminal, type the following commands:
apt-get update sudo unzip lzip sudo apt install
The next step entails going to OpenGApps and generating a package with the following configuration settings:
- x86 64 is the platform.
- Android (version 11)
- Pico on OpenGApps is a variant.
Now, open 7Zip and extract the Windows Subsystem for Android.msixbundle, then look for the msixbundle that is suitable with your architecture/device language.
Remove the appxblockmap, appxsignature, content types, and appxmetadata files from the second msixbundle and place them in a new folder.
To go to the Ubuntu terminal, use the following commands:
git clone https://github.com/ADeltaX/WSAGAScript cd WSAGAScript/#IMAGES mv /mnt/path-to-extracted-msix/*.img
The command we mentioned above will download the files required to execute the WSAGA script automatically.
WSL will follow the same route as Windows after /mnt/ using this command, but make sure the drive letter is accurate.
The scripts now need executable permission to execute.
sudo chmod +x extract gapps pico.sh sudo chmod +x extend and mount images sudo chmod +x extend and mount images apply sh sudo chmod +x unmount images.sh sudo chmod +x
Using the command pwd, modify the root directory in VARIABLES.sh and record the result. Run the following command, where VARIABLES is the preceding command’s output:
VARIABLES.sh nano
Please bear with us for a few more seconds since we’re nearly done. All you have to do now is execute the following commands:
sudo./extract gapps pico.sh sudo./extend and mount images.sh sudo./apply.sh sudo./unmount images.sh sudo./apply.sh sudo./unmount images.sh sudo./apply.sh sudo./apply.sh sudo./apply.sh sudo./apply.sh sudo
You’ll need to copy the changed WSA image, which will need you to perform another command, which is:
#IMAGES cp *.img /mnt/path-to-extracted-msix/ cd #IMAGES cp *.img /mnt/path-to-extracted-msix/
You should be able to properly register the changed picture if you performed the preceding procedures correctly.
Enable developer mode in WSA and execute Add-AppxPackage -Register path-to-extracted-msixAppxManifest.xml to register.
The essential programs and files for Play Store will now be installed by Windows Subsystem for Android. This is not a simple undertaking, as we said at the outset of this post.
Copy the kernel file from Github and replace it in the tools folder of the unpacked msix to sign in using your Google account.
NOTE
At this time, WSA should not be operating in the background.
After you’ve completed the steps above, open the ADB shell and type the following command:
setenforce su 0
Although instructions are provided, they are not suitable for novices, and it is preferable to wait for a third-party program to automate the whole procedure.
